Whether you’re still figuring out your freshman year or grinding out the final days until graduation, everyone deserves a spring break to rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul. In New Mexico, there’s no better places to decompress than the state’s magnificent mountain towns and resorts.
In addition to the spectacular skiing and snowboarding, you’ll find spring break parties, live music, outdoor adventures, and more that will make schoolwork a distant memory — for a week at least. And, of course, you’ll always get the most entertainment bang for your buck in the Land of Enchantment. You and your friends can enjoy the unique spring break you always wanted without breaking your bank (or mom and dad’s).
Check out all the events happening in New Mexico’s favorite mountain towns this spring!

Explore the mountain by moonlight! This free guided tour takes you from the base area to mid-mountain. Once you reach the turnaround point, catch your breath and warm up with hot cocoa and a roaring campfire. Be sure to wear warm clothes and sturdy boots.
Build your own cardboard derby (made of cardboard, duct tape, string, twine and paint only) and race it down the mountain for your chance to win a prize. Sipapu is giving away thousands of dollars in giveaways and prizes.
Skiers and boarders will try to stay dry as they race down the mountain and try to “skim” across Sipapu’s skimming pond. Prizes awarded to the best finishers: laughter – and perhaps a few wet clothes.
