Summer Operations Summary:
Angel Fire Resort is a premier summer mountain destination in New Mexico, best known for its world-class Bike Park—the largest in the Rocky Mountains. Summer activities also include scenic chairlift rides, zipline adventures, hiking, disc golf, and horseback riding. Families can enjoy paddleboarding, fishing, and kayaking at Monte Verde Lake, while golfers can hit the high-altitude 18-hole course. The resort also hosts a full calendar of events and concerts, making it an all-ages hub for outdoor fun.

Red River Ski & Summer Area
Red River transforms into a lively summer destination packed with outdoor fun and family-friendly experiences. Ride the scenic chairlift to the summit for sweeping mountain views, or try summer tubing for an all-ages thrill. The Hidden Treasure Aerial Park offers high-flying fun on ropes courses and ziplines, while mountain bikers can hit the lift-served trails for downhill riding. Weekly events, live music, and the charm of Red River’s walkable Main Street round out this vibrant mountain town’s warm-weather appeal.

Sandia Peak Tramway
Ride North America’s longest aerial tramway to the crest of the Sandia Mountains, soaring over deep canyons and rugged wilderness. At the top, visitors are rewarded with panoramic views, cooler alpine temps, and access to high-elevation hiking trails, including the scenic Crest Trail. Dine at the TEN 3 restaurant, where fine cuisine meets breathtaking vistas. While the tram operates year-round, summer is a prime time to explore the mountaintop’s natural beauty just minutes from Albuquerque.

Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort
Sipapu offers a laid-back, family-friendly summer escape in the heart of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Guests can enjoy a scenic 20-basket disc golf course—free to play and consistently ranked among the most beautiful in the country—as well as hiking and mountain biking trails through Carson National Forest. The nearby Rio Pueblo provides excellent fishing opportunities, and regional outfitters offer easy access to paddleboarding, rafting, golf, horseback riding, llama adventures, and off-road ATV trails. With riverside cabins and campsites available, Sipapu is an ideal home base for exploring northern New Mexico.

Ski Apache
Ski Apache, nestled in the Sierra Blanca Mountains near Ruidoso, offers a diverse array of summer activities. Visitors can ride New Mexico’s only 8-passenger gondola to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The Apache Wind Rider ZipTour provides an exhilarating experience, allowing guests to soar above the terrain. For those interested in mountain biking, the resort features 5.5 miles of trails with grades between 6% and 8%, descending from the top of the gondola to the base area . Hiking enthusiasts can explore trails like the Lookout Trail, a short trek offering 360-degree views, and the more challenging Sierra Blanca Trail, which spans approximately 2.5 miles with an elevation gain of 1,900 feet . Additionally, the resort hosts various events throughout the summer season.

Taos Ski Valley
Taos Ski Valley transforms into a hub for high-alpine adventure each summer.
