Angel Fire Resort

From “Lil’ Chiles” to “Ghost Pepper Riders”, Angel Fire Resort’s Ski and Snowboard school offers group lessons for kids ages 4 to 12. If your little one is ready to hit the slopes, you can enroll them in Angel Fire’s Ski and Snowboard School, and rest easy knowing that they will receive outstanding skill-based and age-based training from experienced and qualified instructors.
Pajarito Mountain
Free “NEVER EVER” Lessons on Thursday and Fridays.
Pajarito Mountain has tons of offerings for young and beginning skiers. Beginner group lessons are available for first time skiers ages 6 and over. For a more comprehensive learning experience, kids ages 7 to 12 can enroll in Camp Bluebird, a Saturday Ski School designed to introduce and enhance your child’s ski skills in a Fun environment. On Thursdays and Fridays throughout the season, first-timers ages 13 plus can take advantage of the free “Never Ever” lesson. This complimentary two hour session is fundamentals-focused and designed to help guide a skier’s first experience on the slopes.

Red River Ski & Summer Area is ready for your little ones. The Buckaroo Camp is designed for 3-4-year-old skiers and aims to make the kiddos comfortable in a new environment and have fun while learning the basics of skiing. They will learn to move with their equipment and gain independence on low angle terrain. Youth Lessons are available for 5-12-year-old skiers and riders, and lessons are built around the Mountain Accomplishment Program (MAP), a progress report system that records student growth and development.

From children to seniors, Sandia Peak Ski Area's Ski & Snowboard School offers expert instruction at every level, and on every terrain. Kids 12 and under can get the FREE Power Kids Pass that works all season at all Power Pass mountains. With lessons for all levels, and a fun and accessible terrain, kids can meet other little shredders and discover a passion for the mountains and snow sports.

Everyone, especially families, loves how fun and affordable it is to learn to ski at Sipapu. The Magic Carpet Beginner Area has a welcoming atmosphere and is a legendary family, and first-timers tradition. Sipapu ski lessons are a great way to learn how to connect with the mountain. Anyone over the age of 13 that is new to skiing or snowboarding can take advantage of the Snow Experience Lesson, a free 2-hour beginner lesson with purchase of a lift ticket.

A group setting can be ideal for developing skills and confidence on the mountain and Ski Apache offers group skiing and snowboarding lessons for anyone over the age of 7. Ski Apache’s trained instructors are excited to teach proper technique and help newcomers safely enjoy the rewarding experiences that mountain has to offer.
Ski Santa Fe

Chipmunk Corner is a great place to start for skiers ages 4 to 10. Children are grouped by age and ability and trained instructors will stay with one group for the duration of the lesson. Skiers ages 5-10 and riders ages 6-10 can register for full or half day lesson packages and the Little Chips half day package is a ski only option for 4 year olds. For extended programs check out the White Tornadoes and other youth options. Ski Santa Fe offers a 3-week course exclusively for 5-year-old novices and beginners, the 6-week “White T’s” course for skiers ages 6-12 and riders ages 7-12, and the Ski and Ride Academy for skiers and riders ages 13-16.
